2012 December 21st marks a day on the calendar that for many people have had some kind of conscious epiphany or recognition of that date or time or numerical significance and it has been conceived or contrived to be a time marked for many. There have been numerous books, movies, memoirs, blogs etc. to show that consciously many have faced the premise of this numerical significance. Many in the scientific community don’t show any prevailing doom or gloom signified by the date, but still the date or time marks a significant conscious debate or impact for many.
One of the great debates contrived in this is the Mayan or Hopi Indian prophecies, is there any relevance to the myth or is it just something that people conjecture to look for proof of the profoundness of the event. It is questionable as to who, what or why this is significant to so many, and yet there does not seem to be any real answers provided. The future always seems to hold the question as to what can happen or what an outcome can be, but still holds no truth until that time passes.
It is a great thing that we posses the ability to debate, forecast and speculate on things. It is like the lottery, you pick and choose; but you don’t know until that event happens or passes, that things become self evident. Perhaps for many this will be a relevant time in many peoples lives both alive and past that something so extraordinary has made such a conscious level of speculation.
The prophecy concerns huge energies to be released as a result of a conjuncture of planets that takes place every 26,000 years. The event, which will occur at the winter equinox, 21 December 2012, is called ‘galactic synchronization’. The Earth and the solar system will be in conjunction with the rest of the universe and the plane of our solar system will be exactly in line with the plane of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. The Prophecy tells us that this synchronization marks the end of our world age and the birth of a new one.
In Mayan mythology the Milky Way, called the ceiba tree, was understood as the tree of life. What will occur in 2012 is that the winter solstice sun will conjunct with the ‘Dark Rift’ of the Milky Way, which will rim the horizon as though lying on the earth.
There they looked for the coming forth of the sun … then they fasted and cried out in prayer. They fixed their eyes firmly on their dawn, looking there to the east. They watched closely for the mourning star, the great star that gives it light at the birth of the sun. They looked to the womb of the sky and the womb of the earth.
Then creation dawned upon the world. During creation thirteen infinite series (steps) added to seven was the count of the creation of the world. Then a new world dawned for them.
The Mayan fifth world age is drawing to a close. The Sixth will begin in 2012. This marks the start of a new great cycle of time and the resetting of the clock of procession. We are thus, between the ages, a period known as the ‘Apocalypse’, meaning a time of revelation and disclosure. The prophecy combines with others and speaks of the recovery of ancient wisdom, the assimilation of new truths, and the opportunity humanity will have to work out its problems responsibly, by the choices it makes.
